Building (Area Quantities)

Information below is provided by the role Building Design or the role Cost Modelling through the functional part fp_define_quantity (area)

In addition to the building quantities asserted by the building model, the following area quantities should be given for the building to enable cost modelling.

Information Needed	MAN	REC	OPT
The total area of the building. The name of the element quantity should be set to 'Total Area of Building' Total area should be derived by a software application from the measured areas of the building storeys
The gross planned area of the building. The name of the element quantity should be set to 'Gross Planned Area of Building' Gross planned area may be set or it may be derived by a software application from the gross planned areas of the building storeys
The nett planned area of the building. The name of the element quantity should be set to 'Nett Planned Area of Building' This should be the total usable space of the building according to local method of measurement rule. Nett planned area may be set or it may be derived by a software application from the nett planned areas of the building storeys
