In this section all precursor realted information needed to satisfy the Exchange Energy Analysis Model (Zones) will be described.

The provisions of the exchange requirement [Exchange Project (ER)] must be satisfied. Project stage must be identified.	Building Desing, [Cost Modelling]	[Exchange Project (ER)]
The provisions of the exchange requirement er_exchange_building_model (programming) should be satisfied. This provides the following information that is required: Type of building required (which may be in terms of both a functional type and purpose group) Building shape, location and orientation Adjacent building shape, orientation and location Composition of the building (complex, element or partial) that is being considered Building storeys within the building Types of spaces required (typically derived from a standard list of types and which provides key design information for the space such as comfort requirements) Space shape and location. Usage of space types in terms of activities that are likely to occur within a given space type. Usage may be available as a precursor or may be specified as part of this exchange requirement. Construction types that are expected to be used including wall types, window types, floor types, roof types etc. (typically derived from a standard list of types and which enables a preliminary assessment of energy performance to be made). When available, the proposed number of persons that will occupy the building, their expected level of activity and anticipated occupation schedule.
