| Provides the information concerning systems where a system is a grouping of elements. In the context of a distribution system, all of the elements that are grouped to form the system should be subtypes of IfcDistributionElement. As well as enabling the description of complete systems, this functional part enables the grouping of elements into subsystems. Note that the shape representation of a system is derived from the shape representation of the elements that are grouped together within the system. The system itself has no 'own' shape representation. Further information about the system may be provided through locally defined property sets. There are no predefined property sets for systems |
