Cost Groups (Cost)
Note that the contents shown here apply to both the 'Preconstruction Estimate' stage and to the 'Request for Quotation' stage
Unit cost information should be assigned to the cost groups to enable total cost to be determined.
Information below is provided by the role Cost Modelling through the functional part fp_associate_cost
For each group, the following information should be given:
| Information Needed | MAN | REC | OPT |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unit basis for costing For 'pre-construction estimate' costing, the unit basis for costing is determined by the type of quantity (count, length, area, volume, weight). The unit of measure should be set according to the unit basis. |
| The resulting cost value after application of cost impact factors (see below) should be captured | |
| Each cost value should be identified by type according to a defined list of cost types. In the absence of such a list at this stage of a project, the type 'Pre-construction Estimate' should be used. Refer to locally extended exchange requirements for further details of agreed cost types. |
| Each cost value used may have a further name and description associated to further define the meaning of the item | |
| The date on which the cost value is applicable should be asserted. | |
| If there is a limit to the time for which a cost is applicable, it should also be asserted. | |
