Construction

In this section all construction realted information needed to satisfy the Exchange Energy Analysis Model (Demand) will be described.

Thermal Properties

Applies thermal information to building elements to enable energy analysis.

Information Needed Man Opt Rec Actor Supplying Functional Part
Identify whether the building element is exterior or located within an exterior element where applicable     Energy and Comfort Advisor
Thermal transmittance coefficient (U-Value) of the building element     Energy and Comfort Advisor
For glazing elements, reflectivity, transmissivity, absorptivity values     Energy and Comfort Advisor

Shading

Identify information about shading devices applied to the construction.

Note that this requirement does not include shading provided by extensions of building elements such as slabs, walls, roof overhangs. Shading in such cases is handled on a purely geometric basis.

Information Needed Man Opt Rec Actor Supplying Functional Part
Specifies the type of shading device     Energy and Comfort Advisor
Azimuth of the element as derived from the placement of the element shape     Energy and Comfort Advisor
For glazing elements, reflectivity, transmissivity, absorptivity values, convention: North = 0' and measurement is done clockwise (I.e. east = 90'     Energy and Comfort Advisor
Inclination of the element as derived from the placement of the element shape, by convention: Vertical = 0', horizontal = 90'.     Energy and Comfort Advisor
Minmum and maximum angles of possible tilt defined in the plane perpendicular to the extrusion axis (X-Axis of the local placement). The angle shall be measured from the orientation of the Z-Axis in the local placement.     Energy and Comfort Advisor
Overall or average ratio of the solar flux transmitted through a body to that incident upon it.     Energy and Comfort Advisor
Overall or average ratio of the visible spectral flux transmitted through a body to that incident upon it.     Energy and Comfort Advisor
The ratio of reflected power to incident power.     Energy and Comfort Advisor
A measure of the vertical deviations of the surface.     Energy and Comfort Advisor
The colour of the surface     Energy and Comfort Advisor
