Building (Cost)
Unit cost information should be assigned to the building to enable total cost to be determined. For order of magnitude costing, the unit for a building is the building itself.
| Information Needed | MAN | REC | OPT |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unit basis for costing For 'order of magnitude' costing, the unit basis for costing should be set to the building itself. The unit of measure for this should be appropriately set and the value of the unit should be set to 1. |
| The resulting cost value after application of cost impact factors (see below) should be captured | |
| Each cost value should be identified by type according to a defined list of cost types. In the absence of such a list at this stage of a project, the type 'OrderOfMagnitude' should be used. Refer to locally extended exchange requirements for further details of agreed cost types. |
| Each cost value used may have a further name and description associated to further define the meaning of the item | |
| The date on which the cost value is applicable should be asserted. | |
| If there is a limit to the time for which a cost is applicable, it should also be asserted. | |
