Cost Item (Measaured)

A cost item should be defined for the measured item. At this stage, the cost measured cost item relates to the building
Cost item information includes:

The measured cost item should have the unit cost basis identified as a context dependant unit and be identified as 'ITEM' Units should not be asserted.
The value of the cost item should be asserted. For 'order of magnitude' costing, the value of the cost item will be the value asserted for the cost value associated with the cost item.
The measured cost item representing the building should be named as appropriate Refer to locally extended exchange requirements for further details of agreed cost types and cost item names.
The measured cost item used may have a further description associated to further define the meaning of the item
Each cost value captured within the cost item must also have a type assigned. For 'order of magnitude' costing, the types will include unit building cost and total building cost. Since the building is being treated here as an item, the unit cost and total cost will be the same.
The date on which the cost value is applicable should be asserted.
If there is a limit to the time for which a cost is applicable, it should also be asserted.
