Address (FP)

Provides the communications address or addresses for an element or actor. A communications address is either a postal address for written communications or one of several telecommunications addresses for electronic communications.

All of the attributes of an address are optional; that is, they do not need to be specified. However, for an address to be used, a value for at least one attribute of the complete address must be set. This must be one of the location values for a postal address or one of the addresses for a telecommunications address. Setting the purpose of an address is entirely optional but where it is done, it defines the purpose of the postal or telecommunications address specifically.
