Equipment Weight

As well as the placement and shape of components, the weight of major items needs to be captured and communicated to ensure structural coordination. This is determined by the HVAC Design role using the functional part fp_define_quantity.
For each item of equipment:

Identify the method of measurement to be used This should be set to a value that is agreed to represent a weight value for coordination purposes. For instance, a value such as 'Structural Weight Coordination' might be used Note that at later stages in the design, weight of components may also be supplied in property sets. This is significant for product information derived from a library. However, for structural coordination purposes and to maintain consistency in building modeling, it is recommended that the quantity measure is used.
Assert the name of the weight quantity to be provided. _This could be a name like 'Structural Weight'. _
Assign the weight quantity to the appropriate component
A description for the weight quantity may be asserted.
