Exchange Energy Analysis Model (Demand)

The scope of this exchange requirement is the exchange of information about energy demand and comfort. The purpose of the exchange requirement is to enable coordination of energy analysis with HVAC and electrical and piping systems engineers for system definition and sizing.
The exchange requirement assumes that the information provisions outlined in the exchange requirement er_exchange_energy_analysis_model(zones) have been satisfied. This is considered to provide all information required concerning:

• the building, its location, composition, overall shape and orientation
• the shape and location of adjacent buildings
• building storeys within the building
• spaces within the building including their identification by type, name and function
• building elements used and their construction type
• space boundaries that define the relation between spaces and building elements
• technical systems and their locations for use within energy analysis.

Note that this exchange requirement describes a 'voluntary' coordination point or interaction between the different roles on a project. It does not represent a hard or soft gate for the project.
