Role Specification - HVAC Design
The HVAC Design role covers the development of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems to satisfy the requirements of the design brief, cost plan, building configuration, sustainability and health and safety brief, national and local legislation and the energy analysis data. The process of designing HVAC systems involves the selection and specification of appropriate equipment, distribution networks and terminal units to meet the project objectives. It also includes the coordination of these systems within the building model, with reference to the architecture, structure and other services. The output of the HVAC design process includes the model of the HVAC systems, and their technical and performance specification.
